Description
Made in Midland, Texas from suet I render and purify myself. Cold-processed and cured 6-8 weeks, this square tallow cube is the exact same formula as my standard bar, just cast in a larger, long-wearing block for people who go through soap fast. It’s ideal as a sink-side “family bar,” a shower staple, or a sliceable block (cut it into smaller bars and cure/store the extras). Naturally creamy lather, strong longevity, and a clean rinse that performs well in hard water without stripping skin’s natural lipids.
Ingredients & why they matter
Beef tallow (rendered in Midland from locally sourced West Texas cattle) — rich in palmitic, stearic, and oleic fatty acids similar to skin’s own lipids; supports a balanced cleanse and a clean rinse with less hard-water film.
Single Source Organic Extra-virgin Olive Oil — high in oleic acid; saponifies to a milder soap (sodium oleate) that reduces that tight, dry feel after rinsing.
Whole-kernel Organic Virgin Coconut Oil — laureate/myristate soaps lift sunscreen, sweat, and dust; used in balance to clean without over-drying.
Raw Midland Honey — natural humectant that helps skin hold moisture after you towel off.
Bentonite Clay — smectite clay that adsorbs fine particles and binds some calcium/magnesium, so it feels better on the skin, and the rinse leaves less residue.
Food Grade Lye (sodium hydroxide) — what actually makes it soap; fully reacts with the fats during saponification.
Water — RO-purified, pH-balanced.
When scented: steam-distilled, organic, food-grade essential oils only; never fragrance oils or colorants.
Each bar cures 6–8 weeks. The cure date is written on the label.
Natural color variation within the bar is normal. Some bars develop a darker center from the way cold process soap warms and cools in the mold. It is purely cosmetic.
